Spontaneous and Less-Spontaneous Art

I’ve been really surprised about how much art I have been doing so far in my time off between jobs. It is logical, as I have more downtime and less major stresses, but still - I’d almost forgotten what it felt like to do art just as a fun way to keep my hands busy and make something pretty.

I’ve booked out Tuesday afternoons as dedicated arts n’ crafts time, to make sure I prioritise it over chores on occasion - this week I finally printed my years-old lino, and got some really nice results (above).

And today on the train down to London, I decided to while away some time doing a sketch in Procreate - I was going to do several, but was all drawn out after painting one. :3 It was so fun though!

Here’s to hoping I can keep this up through my whole holiday, and even when I start back up at work!
